Organic SEO

The essential steps involved in optimizing a site or blog for search and for users provide a good overview of the organic SEO services I offer. So does the video from Google’s Matt Cutts featured on this page:

  1. Selecting the right target search engine keywords.
  2. Evaluating sites and individual pages to see what needs to be done for search optimization, for better navigation and for a better user experience.
  3. Adding SEO optimized content (SEO copywriting), or optimizing existing content – without overdoing it.
  4. Optimizing the code within your website or blog pages – without overdoing it.
  5. Selectively securing links from other sites that point to your site’s pages – preferably, one-way links, not exchanges. A few high quality links mean more to search engines than thousands of low quality, spam links from blog comments and forums that aren’t even related to what you do or to what’s being discussed on the page. Worse yet, they make YOU look like a spammer.
  6. Off-page promotion and marketing techniques for visibility and traffic. Social media works really well for this and is a necessity for any SEO program today.
  7. Monitoring site progress and analyzing results and traffic growth.
  8. Making occasional changes/improvements/recommendations as to keep up with changes in the competition and with search engine best practices for optimizing sites.

Doing nothing will make it very difficult for your site to get found. And, while search engine optimization can greatly increase your traffic from search engines, poorly or improperly done SEO can actually cause your site to drop in the rankings or disappear completely.

Don’t trust your site’s future (or your business) to hacks, spammers or crooks that can get your site penalized or worse – removed from the search engines’ indexes. Contact me for organic SEO services today!
